The Blur that is Death Ride
That's another weekend devoured by Death Ride. This past week I've been working on a few music cues for the movie, but as the final edit had not yet been completed, there was only so much I could do... I was just doing some rough placement of music here and there. Given that the final locked picture was supposed to be in our hands on the 10th... I knew things were going to get a little backed up. Said locked picture arrived on DVD in FedEx at 10am Saturday morning... And since then its been scoring, scoring, and more scoring. With, or course, the occasional break for lucky charms, church, and barbecued tri-tip. Lawyer Lee (who is also one of the producers on the movie) stopped by late Saturday night for a sneak peek (can one peek at music? Or is that a squeak?) and seemed to be genuinely impressed. Ultimately 18 cues comprising rouhly 25 minutes of music were uploaded for reveiw... Almost 30 more to go. This should be an interesting week. We have to somehow figure out how to finish this score AND squeeze in a couple rehearsals for Saturday's performance at LMS.
